It's one of my new favorite spots in BV - a beautiful shop featuring locally made pottery and thoughtful gifts. I recently picked up a few pieces as closing gifts and honestly had to talk myself out of keeping them. That's how good it is.

And while you're there, don't skip the food truck parked right out front: The Eldest Daughter. Sourdough donuts. That's all I need to say.

Memorial Day In Buena Vista

Can we just appreciate how good this time of year is in Buena Vista?

The river is running, Grumpy's lawn is packed, and the whole town comes alive. And nothing captures that energy better than CKS Paddlefest, running May 21–25.

If you're new to the area or planning a visit that weekend, here's what to expect: kayak competitions, live music, local vendors, families out on the river. The energy that weekend is unlike anything else - this is Buena Vista at its absolute best.
